For this photo session, expectant Mum wanted to capture as much as possible of what her days felt like in anticipation for her bundle’s arrival. We started at home with the classic nursery shots and moved onto photographing beautiful mum-to-be in a variety of poses and outfits. The light was amazing – perfect bright but overcast London day, a photographer’s dream! The privacy of being at home also allowed us to do a few tasteful boudoir poses just for mum and dad to document the magic of the female body.

As the home was the couple’s first together, it was important for them to capture for the future the area where they lived when they got married and where now, they were about to become a family of three. So we took a little stroll and ended up with some amazing, if I do say so myself, portraits of both mum, bump and even the West London skyline. I ended up falling a little bit in love with this little Brentford canal, it was the perfect juxtaposition of traditional meets modern. Everything I love about London.

All in all, the hours flew by and as per usual, I got reminded of how much I love my job – because it doesn’t feel like one!
